About Me

As a recent college graduate from Centenary University, I've spent my life being inspired by horses and horse people. Growing up in rural Wisconsin, I always knew my path in live would involve horses. From the first trouble maker pony to my first OTTB, equines have been centeral to everything I do.
During my college years, I learned there are so many different ways to be a part of the equestrian industry outside of the barn. My first semester of freshman year, an equine professor told me how she worked as a freelance writer for equestrian publications. Her experience inspired me to start exploring a new path.
Over the next few years, I worked to develop my writing and storytelling skills. Spending summers in remote internships while also competing in USDF dressage shows, I learned the ins and outs of digital and social media marketing. For three years, I worked as a content writer and marketing coordinator for digital ad agency 3MC Media. This experience taught me a love of marketing and content creation.
Now I embark on the journey of young adulthood and figuring out where I fit in the professional equine media industry. Learn all about my work, and keep up with my experiences as I take on new roles and challenges!

I was delighted at every opportunity to read her stories. Ella has most definitely distinguished herself as a talented, diversified and nuanced student-journalist.
This is her magic; to identify with her reader, to make the complex understandable, to drill down to the “why.”
